-JdK- Last week I participated again in the excellent LNL rally, doing around 750 km in two days. I took the 1933-ish International and it did fine, with only a broken clutch cable as a minor hiccup.
There were a few other Nortons and one of the most interesting was a 16H that had been converted to electric start. The owner could not tell me much about it, he had acquired it as-is and just used it. Apparently it is a 'dyno-start' with a few belts in the primary chain case.
I've seen him use the starter several times and it appears to work well. Click this link for the video.
