-SG- We have had a few postings in the past showing M. Barthelemy on a Norton in the early twenties. He appears to have been a regular competitor in French road events at the time and Adam has lent me a 1920 post card, showing Barthelemy on a Norton at Boulogne, shod with Hutchinson tyres. He finished first in the General Class.
The hand written message on the back of the card has faded with the passage of time but it appears the writer was the recipient's boy friend - his final sentence to 'Ma Cherie' are that he will soon be her husband! Hope she put up with his apparent interest in motor-cycles!
